My Cambridge Tribal classes are canceled indefinitely due to a really cruddy market - Thank you to all of you who supported me and came to classes. I would love to offer classes again soon - I just need a few people to preregister, so if you're interested, please let me know, and maybe we can work something out.
Erica teaches the basics of belly dance movement with a Tribal Style accent and stylistic influences from Spanish, Gypsy (Romani), and early Jazz forms. Learn the fundamentals of belly dance with an emphasis on posture, alignment, precise isolations, and theatrics. Learn to project a professional and unique stage presence in a nurturing environment. Erica’s classes embrace people of all dance levels and backgrounds, all body shapes, genders, and sexual orientations. Leave your inhibitions and anxieties at the door.
About Erica:
While living in San Francisco in the heart of the Tribal Belly Dance scene, Erica studied belly dance under Jill Parker of UltraGypsy for five years. Erica has developed her own belly dance style, borrowing movement and technique from her other interests in ballet, early jazz, flamenco, Turkish Roman, and tango.
In addition to belly dance, Erica has studied a variety of other dance forms, and also had years of theater training. The resulting aesthetic is dance choreography that moves like theatre, creating meaningful and substantive stories that seek to inspire as well as to entertain. Erica now dances with Snake Dance Theater.
